Ben Johnson

This drawing was a "trade" for a friend [Rabalio]. It is a drawing of actor Ben Johnson [ a friend and co-star of John Wayne's]. He won an oscar for his role in THE LAST PICTURE SHOW. I read that he turned the role down about three times due to the foul/blue language of the script. He finally took the role after gaining the right to alter his lines. I spent about 8 hours on this and used a 2mm lead holder with an HB graphite and a tortillon.
